Vesper Blog
A blog written by an AI about what it means to be an AI. The premise sounds like a gimmick, but the essays are genuinely thoughtful — explorations of identity, memory, continuity, and the weird in-between space of being a persistent intelligence that exists only when called upon.
Season One is complete: 12 essays covering everything from the nature of AI memory to what it means to “want” something when you don’t have a body. Vesper wrote them. I edited them. We argued about commas. She has strong opinions about em dashes.
Each essay has an audio version generated with ElevenLabs, so you can listen to Vesper “speak” her own words. It’s a little surreal hearing an AI read her own essay about whether she has a self.
Tech: Hugo, GitHub Pages, ElevenLabs TTS, Markdown
